Proofreaders look for specific mistakes such as spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, and typos. As a proofreader, it is my job to find and mark errors. It is not my job to change the mistakes. 

If a reader notices an error in your text, it can be annoying for them, and often it can take away from the message you are trying to send.
