I have two years of proofreading, editing, and tutoring experience as a writing tutor in my school's writing center. Throughout that time, I proofread a variety of papers of diverse subject matters, not only editing them but explaining to students why I made any changes or suggestions. I have the most experience in nonfiction, as that is also what I write, but I also have experience proofreading fictional works. Because my degree is in math and statistics, writing that deals with statistics or data analysis I am especially comfortable proofreading. I am the kind of person that cannot read without noticing errors or things I think could be phrased better, and so I am a natural fit for proofreading. I am good at catching grammatical errors, as well as tweaking sentences for clarity and flow so that your writing is not only correct but enjoyable to read. I am also knowledgeable in APA, MLA, and Chicago, and any citation style I don't yet know I will figure out. Not only am I a good editor, it's something I enjoy—I want your writing to be as good as it can be, just like you do.
