From a young age I have been curious and passionate for the English language learning acquisition process and later I got interested in how to pass this knowledge to others. Thus, in 2007 I got my bachelor’s degree at Universidad Distrital in my hometown Bogota, Colombia; I worked as English teacher there for over 7 years with students from private and public schools as well as people of all ages at English academies. In my constant search for improving my communicative skills I travelled to the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi gave me the opportunity to work as an interpreter which I did for near 4 years. The constant contact with people from all over the world has contributed to the improvement of my communicative skills as well as my teaching competences. Helping others to break the language barrier in everyday errands such as opening bank accounts, getting mobile plans for their cellphones, going to the doctor for routine checks or even shopping makes me understand how important is my mission to facilitate others get things done no matter they do not speak the language.
