My proofreading / editing service is the final stage of the writing process. When the work sample is ready, you choose the level of service: 1) Proofreading - I look it over for mechanical correctness, such as spelling and punctuation, or  2) Editing - I make editing suggestions for grammar, omitted words, repeated words, spacing and all typographical errors. My editing services also include suggestions for alternative vocabulary for the intended audience, notes on story continuity as well as changes for readability should it proceed to audio format. My base fee is $25/hour and is based on approximately 5000 words. Quotes for works over 10k words are negotiable.
