Emily Roper of Wahoo Consulting has held both in-house and agency positions, specializing in building targeted campaigns for small businesses, Fortune 500 companies and associations. Working with organizations, including Capital One and DC-based start-up Wahoo Food Group (WFG), Emily has developed and implemented public relations and marketing campaigns that increased brand awareness, drove sales and strengthened relationships with partners.Prior to her work at Capital One and WFG, Emily worked in the public affairs department of Widmeyer Communications in Washington, D.C. She also served as deputy press secretary for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman and assistant director of communications for the American Tort Reform Association.Emily received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Virginia, and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
