For the past twenty years, I have utilized my careers to hone and promote my writing. My first published works were while I was still a student. I continued to publish as a Corporate Recruiter, which was my career for several years. Finally, as I moved into academia and I followed the adage of “publish or perish,” and made contributions to well over fifty textbooks. My only solo contribution as an author in academia is a companion handbook to the single most used logic textbook internationally, known as “The Hurley Book.” Lastly, while working for Ingram Micro, a Fortune 100 Company, as a Marketing Manager, my job was to craft content for every area of marketing both online and deliverable material. As the Co-Director of Alcohol and Drug Education for the University of California, Irvine, I co-authored several grants. One of these was for over $250,000. While attending graduate school, my writing captured the attention of one of the few living logicians. Under his tutelage, I co-authored three internationally adopted, theoretical textbooks, as well as authored a fifty page paper that is published and resides at the Library of Congress of the United States of America. Near the end of my academic career, one area of an argument I had written supporting Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences was quoted by Howard Gardner himself, Harvard Professor of Education, within one of his final papers. He was responsible for the entire paradigm shift in learning modalities, thus in how instruction is approached, within the United States. Within ten years of his theory, there isn't a single public school district within the U.S. that had not adopted his techniques. As a corporate recruiter, it was my duty to create nationwide salary surveys for Fortune 500/100 Companies.
