Publishing Services

$50/hr Starting at $2K

This service offering begins with a final manuscript provided by the client. A final manuscript is defined as having all writing completed, reviewed, and finalized by the client.

The development of the eBook begins first, and the process includes coding the eBook. A bookmap will be provided to the client to approve along with a draft cover. Once approved, the eBook is published for preview for client review and to request any edits to be made.

Once the eBook is final, development of the paperback manuscript begins. The paperback manuscript is developed using a converted ePub file to paperback manuscript. The process includes formatting the manuscript to include all style and design elements required. The client will be given a choice of paperback size, font size, types, and page layouts, which includes chapter and section breaks, and text for certain bookmap sections that are typically included with a paperback version. The client is provided with the manuscript to review and approve before the document is published.

Once approved, the manuscript is uploaded to the publishing website so that a cover template may be generated. The cover will be designed according to the specifications required for the publishing template. Since every production process for covers is different and unique to the client’s needs, a proposal with detailed specifications for the book’s cover design will be provided for approval before work begins.

Once the cover template is final, the paperback publication process can be completed. Three copies of the print paperback will be ordered to ensure the manuscript is printed appropriately by the print services. This review is an important stage because it is the first time the manuscript will be viewed in its final product stage. One copy is used by me to indicate edits required. A second copy will be provided to the client to mark up edits requested. The third copy will be used to indicate the final edits agreed to between the project lead and the client to be made to the paperback version. Discussions on the edits required may be held in person or via a virtual meeting session.

If changes are required as part of this paperback print review, edits will be made and final files published. Once accepted, the production process is considered completed and the client may begin to advertise and communicate the paperback availability.

The entire production process is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days.
