Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov and appointed Mikhail Mezintsev to replace him.

 As the Russo-Ukrainian war continues, Russian President Vladimir Putin has fired Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov in charge of logistics.  While it was reported that Bulgakov would take over the duties of other units, it was announced that Colonel Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Administration Center, had been appointed instead.

 Mikhail Mezintsev, along with spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov, attracted attention as the name that appeared on the screens the most and conveyed information about military activities during the Russian military operations in Ukraine.
