Presently, I am working for a medical device company doing various jobs. I am responsible for invoicing customers along with placing purchase orders and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks Enterprise. In addition, I am also involved with project management for a spinal implant device. Prior to my current position, I worked as a fund accountant. One main responsibility was auditing portfolios and making sure that all dividends were credited properly. I invoiced clients, on a quarterly basis, for management fees and provided statements related to cash and investment values. Previously, I worked in two finance departments that were fast paced offices. I handled entering invoices, entering payroll data, printing checks, and maintaining vendor files. I was also involved in helping through a conversion of accounting software. I implemented a more efficient way of collecting monthly membership dues. I made sure that cash balanced with what was in the system and, if not, researched and resolved the issue. Attended monthly meetings to ensure that department heads had updated budgeted verses actual expense figures. I demonstrated the ability to be a team player and perform a variety of tasks that were needed to help the department run effectively and efficiently. I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Quick Books, and a Master’s Degree in Finance.
