I worked as a radio announcer for many years, about four of those as assistant program director. I wrote and voiced hundreds of radio ads, and wrote and read the daily news. I also have about 12 years experience on stage as the front person in a variety band in the California Bay Area and in Hawaii. In addition, I've recorded a couple of music CDs, and in the process, spent countless hours editing and tweaking with my recording equipment and computer software. As a long-time radio announcer, I read the news each day. The other part of my job was to write, voice and produce commercials and public service announcements on a daily basis. This experience gave me the ability to read serious copy when called for, as well as create personable, funny, romantic, educated, sincere, adult and young-child characters as needed for the various commercials we aired.
