Ricus Rossouw Some may say I push buttons for a living, but that was me in 2014, focusing only on PHP and WordPress. I was yet to discover true problem solving. In 2015 I pursued the expansion of my knowledge. Finding it necessary to learn the industry standards, and seek out the mentorship I so hungered for. I graduated top of my class at City Varsity, earning a certificate in web technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, MySQL, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3. From 2016 until 2018 my employment at Nona Creative introduced me to advanced paradigms of programming. Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework was my next feat. Delving into this language convinced me that it was the best suitable entry into Object Oriented Programming. As an aspiring full stack developer, my ambition led me towards proficiency within front-end Javascript frameworks as well as reliable back-end tools such as Ruby for API generation, bash scripting and database management. Currently I am expanding my skill set by involving myself in projects that require modern front-end tools such as MeteorJS, Angular 4, React and React Native. I’m fascinated with the process of problem-solving, and I am constantly seeking to equip myself with a unique and versatile set of tools. As I acquire new tools, I am able to utilise my creativity and flexibility to find perfect solutions.
