I have a degree in English/Creative Writing from Ohio University (Athens, Ohio) and worked toward a master's degree in journalism there, as well. I have worked in newspaper journalism since graduation, but I also have experience writing for radio and the Internet. I am a versatile writer and a picky and detail-oriented editor. I know the importance of meeting deadlines. Though mostly I've worked as a general-assignment reporter and a newspaper editor, I also have worked as a freelancer writing copy for a 400-page Web site and have written specialized articles on gardening and other topics. As a writer, I can learn whatever style is required. As an editor, I can make even the most challenging prose sing.
