My name is Shannon and I have been in the manufacturing and transportation industry most of my adult life. I had planned obtain a nursing degree but I let "life" hold me back. I worked in manufacturing from the time I turned 18 until I reached 28 and decided I had had enough. Having no children or husband I wanted to experience the truck driving industry. It was really tough on females back then but then again I"m always up for a challenge. When I turned 30 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and couldn't fulfill my driving duties while enduring many medical procedures and treatments. My father had just opened up a very small "By here, Pay here" car lot, so I was fortunate to be able to work in the auto sales, service and even repossession. I organized the office and set the standard for all of the paperwork, payroll, taxes, expenses and etc. I managed the office until I was physically able to return to driving cross country. At the ripe age of 34 I met a man and got married.
