I attended Duke University School of Law after taking a 13-year break from the workforce to raise my children. I graduated and got my law license in 2016. I am interested in helping others who wish to return to school or work after taking a long break. I applied to multiple top ten graduate schools and was not rejected by any of them. I earned my highest grade in graduate school on my advanced writing requirement. I engaged in five different internship experiences, all of which involved extensive writing projects and required effective cover letters. In years past, I handled written correspondence for an executive official in state government, and also spent a summer working as a proofreader in a governor's correspondence office. Currently, my full-time profession is drafting proposed legislation, including bills and amendments. I perform legal and policy research and present clear and concise analysis to members of my state legislature (my position is nonpartisan).
