The former Manchester United goalkeeper believes that Ronaldo is superior to Messi in the "best in history" race.

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster believes that Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, his former teammate at Manchester United, is still in the lead in his eternal battle with Argentine Lionel Messi.Foster recently called Ronaldo's critics utterly insane, and the Madeira Rocket is one of football's greats.And many questions have been asked recently about Ronaldo's capabilities, and whether the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has fallen short and is unable to inspire the "Red Devils" on the team's journey back to the podiums.

He added: "For me, in that eternal debate between Ronaldo and Messi, he is still number one for me."

"I think there are a lot of people who are absolutely mad at him because they think it's over, but it's not over, look at the number of goals he scored, it's unbelievable."

And he added: “For any player, this is a great season, but because he is Ronaldo, people expect him to score 30, 40 or 50 goals, he plays in a team that is not at his best, so he will not score many goals anyway, but for those who say he is It's over, there's no chance."

"It's good that it lasts at least a year or two," Foster concluded.

On his emotional return to Old Trafford last summer, Ronaldo signed a two-year contract.
