Liverpool were considering a 'big bid' for Son Heung-min this summer if Tottenham Hotspur had not secured Champions League football for next season.

According to the ECHO’s sister site, football.london, Liverpool have been planning for the prospect of losing either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah this summer, with the South Korean star eyed as a possible replacement.



The ECHO reported on Sunday afternoon that Liverpool will only sell Mane this summer if a replacement is sourced.

Mane has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich this season as he enters the final 12 months of his Anfield contract.

Tottenham secured their place in next season’s Champions League with a 5-0 victory over Norwich City on the final day of the season.

And the report further claims that Liverpool are not expected to take their Son interest any further.
