I buy Art that ritualizes my growth, so that after every seven years I may have outgrown some pieces and I sell them at a profit to make space for fresh growth, but it seldom if ever happens, as every art piece is a milestone of my life and it tells a story that sings with all the music of that era long lost. I buy Art because it engages me in the company of artists who are not mere wayward souls, but the damaged survivors of a world corrupt to the narrow marrow with people who had captured God, State and platforms of creativity as political tools for their own self-gratification. I buy Art because each piece is a piece of a puzzle built by others who had the courage to charter the unknown realms far beyond my own vision and fears. I buy Art because it provides for the tables of artists who maintain a spirit of wild optimism or delicate criticism while living only on hope, and while remaining standing up against that relentless tsunami of random ignorance and misunderstanding which chains us all to the wall... My Art greets me like animals do when they see me. If you do not like animals, chances are you will never taste this joy as your walls are as dull as your mind. Sorry. I buy Art because it gains value. I buy Art because it is a weapon that can not be controlled and smothered to oblivion or manipulated.
