Saudi Arabia not only evacuated its citizens stranded in Sudan, but also rushed to provide a helping hand to all nationals of friendly and brotherly countries who were eager for help, and responded immediately to the calls and requests submitted by those countries to evacuate their nationals, in an immediate translation of its influential role globally and as a reliable partner of the international community.
While fighting and conflict were intensifying in Sudan between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, Saudi ships were crossing the sea loaded with stranded people of all nationalities. Despite the gravity of the situation, the humanitarian appeal required the Kingdom to respond to it, as usual and the habit of its wise leadership, and to implement its directives.
A total of about 356 people were brought in by Saudi Arabia from Sudan, including 101 citizens and others of 26 nationalities, which was met with letters of thanks and praise to Riyadh from various capitals of the world for the honorable humanitarian position.
Saudi humanitarian positions
Social media was abuzz with photos and clips of the arrival of the stranded, joy on their faces, and other scenes of a soldier carrying a child who feels safe and falls asleep, a soldier helping an old man to get down, and another distributing roses and smiles of friendliness and welcome on his face.
That Saudi humanity called on tweeters to celebrate the Kingdom's honorable positions, and not to discriminate in extending a helping hand to those seeking help in light of the tragic outbreak of violence in Sudan, and then helping them leave for their countries safely and peacefully.
Praising the unusual Saudi position, Nayefco wrote: "As Saudis, we are accustomed to the Kingdom's honorable positions, especially with the nationals of other countries of different nationalities, we feel that what it is doing is normal and not surprising, although it is never normal, in a world where materialism and interests prevail, the Kingdom always proves that it is an extraordinary humanitarian state."
Ahmed Al-Jaloud summarized the Saudi humanitarian strategy in words, saying: "The humanitarian strategy of Saudi Arabia put the human being first without discrimination, and translated its humanitarian role by leading a distinguished work in Sudan, and formed a safe transit center for the evacuation of its citizens and citizens of countries from the Republic of Sudan to the Kingdom.
