I am currently a science writer for the Biomimicry Institute, which involves reading scientific journal articles and summarizing the research for a general audience. Prior to this I spent four years teaching high school biology, physics, and environmental science, and through those years I became practiced at finding the most engaging nuggets of information and hooking my audience's attention quickly. I enjoy turning science into a story---a treasure hunt of curiosity, discover, and wonder. If employed as an editor, I can help develop flow, clarity, and ensure readers don't get lost. I earned my Master's in Education from ASU, and a double bachelor's degree (B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Psychology) from the University of Washington.
