The role is heavily focussed upon delivering interchangeable Water and Xenon propulsion systems for the SSTL’s flagship DMC-3 sub-1 metre Earth observation constellation. Design iteration is achieved through peer review. I have had input and control of the design loop including work package, budget and schedule management; design by analysis (Solidworks, ANSYS 13/14); generation of production BoMs and managing these within MRP systems; Engineering Change Control; writing of assembly and build instructions; maintenance of a design log and holding peer reviews; co-ordination of mechanical analysis, configuration control and drawing release; and ensuring design complies with agreed standards and specifications.
