My passion and joy is communicating the beauty and complexity of science through clear, accurate illustrations and animations. My primary goal is to use illustrations and animations for scientific education, whether that be in college classrooms, scientific symposiums, textbooks, museums, or publications for non-scientists. My work has been used in college courses, textbooks, popular field guides, and scientific papers. I have advanced degrees in biochemistry, environmental science, biology, and botany. My strong science background is one of my greatest assets when working with scientists and science education companies to create illustrated and animated content. I am currently a freelance science illustrator for Sapling Learning. At Sapling, I create illustrations for statistics, math, physical science, physics, biology, genetics, and anatomy and physiology. In addition, I have created illustrations and animations for research publications, textbooks, and college course with scientists who study geology, glaciology, stream ecology, and botany.
