• 15+ years of Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2012/2008/2005 DBA experience • Strong experience in capacity planning and designing, implementing and supporting high availability 24*7 database strategies including failover cluster, database mirroring, database replication, disaster/recovery, backup and recovery, and Log shipping etc. on Windows cluster • Specialist in data models(E-R, dimensional models, Risk Models) and logical and physical database design; A solid understanding of UML, process flow, data flow diagram, data architecture, and physical database implementation • Extensive working knowledge of database install, upgrade, configuration, maintenance , patching, security, audit, data migration and cluster administration on windows cluster in production, development and test environments • Outstanding ability of troubleshooting and DB issues resolving (Blocking, Dead lock etc.); excellent performance monitor and tuning skills (SQL Server Profiler, Activity Monitor, DMV, index management, statistics options) • Solid understanding of Business Intelligence/Data warehouse OLAP(MS SSAS, IBM Cognos) and ETL (MS SSIS/DTS) especially data integration and reporting • Familiar with C#/C++, reporting services (MS SSRS, KPI/KRI), SDLC, Windows servers, and Unix(Solaris, AIX)/Linux operating systems • Excellent Operation Automation Script, Transact SQL script and Management Studio development tool skills including stored procedures, triggers, and automating database management tasks on scheduled basis
