I am an Instructional Designer with a diverse toolbox that includes practical application of instructional design principles and learning theory as well as advanced skills in a variety of software applications. Adult Learning Theory, Multimedia Learning Theory, Cognitive Load Theory, Instructional Systems Design, and the Addie Model are all principles that I am experienced in using to frame the design of instructional products. I am proficient in using Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver to develop instructional products including video tutorials and presentations, multimedia interactions, web-based training, and job aids. Additionally, I have worked to develop and implement online courseware into a variety of SCORM compliant Learning Management Systems. I am currently working toward a Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology to further build upon knowledge acquired from work experience and the completion of an Ed.S.
