Senior Software Engineer: Coded for the Cross Channel Offering service which used Apache CXF, Spring and ran on Tomcat. The CCO service was a migration from Perl to a new Java technology stack. It’s aim was to consolidate offers across all channels, including the website, kiosks/Walmart and public facing api into one overall service. • Programming: Converted legacy perl business logic from different teams to Drools rules language and Java. Used Jackson for marshalling request/responses from services. Web service to integrate with external recommendations engine. Web services exposing endpoints for upsell pricing and shipping • Database: Migrated hard-coded values in code to Derby database • Deployment: Continuous Integration. Configured deployment structure with Ant, Maven using Rundeck for deployment, Jenkins for building, Nexus repos for artifacts • Tools: Spring, Guvnor, Subversion, Derby, MySQL, Eclipse, SVN, Cobertura/Sonar for code coverage.
