Senior Software Engineer: Developed transactional API for partners to buy tickets, get events by location, pull reviews from external sources and bind to the Ticketmaster backend infrastructure. • Programming: Implemented JAX-RS to expose purchase flow calls, using JSON/XML for request/responses. Integrated into existing JSON/Perl infrastructure. Marshalling objects from JSON to Java and back using Jackson. Custom error handling with exception mappers. Running off of JBoss (RESTEasy) using the Seam framework • Database: Used Hibernate for Oracle DB for additional event information • Solr: Connected to Solr search server for event information • Integration: Built controlled interfaces around existing ticketing, payment, delivery options, exposing these services to our partners. Integration at two points between external partners and coordination with existing Ticketmaster teams. • Tools: Eclipse, Ant, Jira (was jira admin also) • Testing: UTF-8 data, language validation for endpoints. Wrote end-to-end automated smoke test of api, used by teams for testing
