My responsibilities include understanding the client project's existing state and then creating a detailed plan with the clients to achieve the desired results. It doesn't matter how nice your site looks. If you're not investing in avenues that result in supporting your primary business goals (e.g., sales), then you're going to go broke chasing the wrong goals and measuring the wrong KPIs. It would help if you were focused on the aspects that result in the highest profit margins. I am not just interested in getting a top rank for our client’s website or getting a certain number of links. I am more interested in bringing relevant traffic to the website of our clients, which will result in increasing their ROI. Therefore we tailor a specific strategy for every client as you know that no two clients are the same; hence the same strategy that worked for 1st cannot work for the 2nd. How we do that can vary.
