In a painful incident of its kind, a British father blamed himself after causing the death of his infant child due to a virus.. What is the story?

And according to the British Daily Mail, British father Carl McClaren, 44, blamed himself after inadvertently transmitting the cold sore virus, or herpes, to his newborn child, who died of multiple organ failure at the age of just two months.  

McLaren kissed his son when he was just two weeks old, which resulted in him contracting the cold sore virus that most adults carry without knowing.

A court heard today that the man had difficulty dealing with the death of his son, Kayden, who had been turned off his recovery machines after struggling for life in hospital for six weeks.

As a result of what happened to his child, McLaren began binge drinking, which led to the end of his relationship with his wife, Marie Claire McCormick, 37 

 broke into the house of his ex-wife, accusing her of treason, before pulling her by the hair and directing several violent punches at her.

After McLaren left his ex-wife's home, she called the police, who arrested him several hours later.

The man was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of forcibly breaking into the house of his ex-wife and severely assaulting her.

McLaren has previously been charged with violence, but has not been sentenced to prison.
