Among many others, both short- and long-form.
A peek into my usual process:
1. Outline the flow. Most commonly, this would be the number of chapters and the end takeaways for a given audience.
2. Gather existing knowledge. This could include interviews/calls together, napkin-notes, voice memos, first drafts, one-liners, and research.
3. Write a first draft.
4. You provide feedback one chapter at a time. These can be in regards to a specific line or paragraph, or about the "vibe". I'll ask for clarification comment by comment if necessary.
5. I implement feedback one chapter at a time. My clients have never had to go through more than 2 rounds of edits per chapter, sometimes none at all. I pride myself on my ability to collaborate with you to truly learn your voice and larger goals.
How I know I've succeeded:
1. My author feels I have eloquently and effectively portrayed their voice and life experience as if they had done it themselves.
2. Beta-readers provide positive feedback and clear understanding of value and takeaways.
3. My author feels empowered to go out into the world with the book not only as a standing entity, but as a tool for future projects (such as used to book speaking gigs or as a lead gen offer).
