Abdul is a multi-skilled technical expert in development sector with 20 years of experiences in program planning, strategies and management, project implementation, data management, strategic communications and advocacy with national, international organizations, UN agency and World Bank project. M.Phil. in Rural Development and Economics from Gandhigram Rural University is his educational background. Abdul’s work has substantial impact on policy and strategies of organizations. Abdul is advising companies, governments, voluntary sector organizations and international institutions. His skills include monitoring and evaluation, social impact assessment, public consultation, stakeholder and gender analysis, knowledge management, needs assessment, capacity building and the analysis of policy options and priorities. Understanding the links between social, economic and environmental issues is a key part of his work. He extended technical supports for gender dynamics, childhood poverty and child protection including gender-based violence, community and school health, WASH, school and educational quality improvement, corporate social responsibilities, and various multi diverse development programmes and linking evidence to policy processes within a variety of institutional contexts. Child protection work has focused on systems strengthening while gender-analysis work has focused upon social audits, gender-based violence – particularly relating to adolescent girls, and social protection linkages. Underpinning this work is a crosscutting interest in the intersection of knowledge, policy and power with respect to policy processes – particularly with regard to the political context and political economy analysis. Methodological approaches in qualitative and participatory techniques, child/youth friendly approaches, and secondary techniques such as systematic reviews and evidence synthesis. He too possesses skills in Project proposals and grants writing, Logical Frame Works, Programs and Strategies, grants proposal review, Organizational development, Thematic analytical Writing and Documentation, Excellent presentation and public speaking His experience in a variety of NGOs and research institutions with in-depth fieldwork across India has delivered significant supports for professionals and institutions.
