I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Publishing at Emerson College with a focus on book marketing and publicity. Through my position as the Marketing Associate at Ploughshares, I utilize social media and digital marketing strategies in order to promote Ploughshares blog content, news, and print publications. Since taking this position in the fall of 2017, I have grown the social media following by over 100 new followers per week and begun a regular newsletter that now has over 14,000 subscribers. I am currently working to start my own publishing house. I manage the business, marketing, and publicity campaigns of the press. During my previous position as Editorial Content Specialist at the Indiana University Alumni Association, I also exercised the skills necessary for a marketer in publishing. I wrote advertisements, social media, emails, and print pieces in the brand voice to foster the relationship between the Alumni Association and alumni.
