My name is Jaida Narkon and I am a recent graduate of Boston University’s Media Ventures Master's program. I have strong experience in retail and in social media marketing with previous jobs within the social media marketing world. Some of my strengths include writing, social media management, retail associate experience, buying and selling in the merchandising world, working on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and all Microsoft Office Programing. During my time in the BU Media Venture’s program I worked for the Improper Bostonian Magazine as a social media assistant in which I focused on creating content for possible clients, as well as seeking out possible new companies to market for in the magazine. During my internship for the summer semester of BU’s program, I had to travel to Los Angeles and obtain an internship with a startup company in the area. I ended up working for a company called LACI (Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator) in which I assisted with editorial calendars, public relations and marketing for company events; as well as assisting with campus newsletters. In the first week of my time there, I contributed to the company newsletter which received a 30% open rate, which was a new company high.
