10+ years experience managing social media in all its evolving forms, starting w/online Communities at AOL in the early 2000s (though outdated now, AOL was the birthplace of online social activity) through present-day social platforms for a variety of companies including Thomson Reuters, EMC, and more. My experience ranges from hands-on, minute-by-minute updating of social channels to long-term broad strategy development, with both existing social channels as well as companies completely new to social media or in need of an overhaul. From a personal perspective, I prefer a mixture of these activities as I believe they typically go hand-in-hand and feed each other. My experience also includes educating and training others on the benefits of social media overall and the mechanisms and how-to's of specific social media plans.
