Hello, I'm Samaria. I'm a recent college graduate from my Ball State University. My research and writing experience has been mainly college course work, but I've learned a lot of relevant skills that can be applied to real-life projects and clients. When I was a journalism major, I was reporter for the Ball State Daily News, which is an online and print student newspaper. I wrote several articles for them. I switched my journalism major to sociology and continued developing my writing as a creative writing minor. As a creative writing minor, I developed the skills to write engaging and realistic stories. As a sociology major, I've been trained in conducting research, applying different social theories, studying/analyzing statistics, and understanding diversity among different groups of people. I was apart of an immersive learning project during my senior year of college. Ball State University partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank in Muncie, Indiana to study the causes and effects of food insecurity within Delaware county. I did research on food insecurity, collaborated with my team on creating the surveys, distributed the surveys to members of the community, and performed data entry after all date was collected. This was a very impactful project that taught me not only the value of research, but also the importance. of using research to change people's lives for the better. It is important to me to take advantage of every opportunity and build a foundation for the beginning of my professional career. I want to build long-lasting relationships, conducting more research, and make a difference in everyone's life. My hours are pretty flexible, although I would like to work at least 30 hours a week. Also, I would be willing to work with any freelancers would be willing to give me a chance and teach me more about their trade. I look forward to hearing from you
