Apart from being a sociologist and researcher, I have guided scholars for PhD and post-doctoral work. I have also been a contributor of articles and ideas to the English media in India and abroad for more than 20 years. In my writings I have covered a wide range of issues of public interest concerning history, society, sociology, politics, religion, development, discrimination, education, human rights, etc. I was a referee of Global Integrity for its reports on governance and corruption trends in India; and of Transparency International for defence corruption in India and Sri Lanka. I have been a referee of academic journals in India and abroad, and of academic book publishers such as Oxford University Press, and Taylor and Francis, besides a number of academic institutions and universities. My style of writing has been highly appreciated by editors of English magazines and newspapers. What I sent was often considered as clean copy; and even minor editing was done only with my consent. I have also trained online aspiring youngsters for top administrative positions such as of the Indian Administrative service. Some of the important academic works by others are dedicated to me, while some others have me in acknowledgments. My editing skills and subject knowledge are quite evident from my own contributions published as newspaper, magazine and academic articles, and books.
