I hold a doctor of philosophy in computer science and a masters of software engineering. I also have a bachelor of science in computer science and a bachelor of arts in chemistry. I have been programming computers since summer of 1978. I have owned and programmed personal computers since April 30, 1988. I have been on the Internet since December 1995. I have developed software in the procedural languages ALGOL, BASIC, C, COBOL, FORTRAN, Modula-2, Pascal, and PL/I. I also have been developing software in more recent epochs of my working life in the object-oriented languages C++, C#, and Java.
