I worked over 25 years as a software engineer specializing in device drivers and embedded software development. I have two Masters degrees, one in electrical engineering and one in applied mathematics. I am a 2D, 3D and video device driver guru. I worked for for 3dfx Inc, one of the pioneers in PC graphics hardware company for 5+ years. At 3dfx I participated in the software design of the multiple graphics chips including the world's first 3D graphics acceleration chip called Voodoo. I am an expert in telecom standards and protocols in the areas of transmission including T1, E1, DS3, SONET, SDH, and various real time redundancy designs. I worked in this field for 15+ years for Genband, a leading telecom core network equipment company. I enjoy writing software to solve sophisticated problems that require deep understanding of mathematics, physics or electrical engineering.
