"Queen's Tribute in Sophie's Coronation Dress" 

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has once again paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth on King Charles III's Coronation day. The Duchess wore a cream gown by Suzannah London that featured a hand-embroidered train inspired by gowns and regalia from the Queen's 1953 coronation. The dress is made of sustainable crepe and features natural floral embroidery in a traditional Irish technique. The Duchess completed her look with a white feathered headpiece by Jane Taylor, while her daughter Lady Louise Windsor also wore a Suzannah London dress and bespoke Jane Taylor hat. Sophie had previously relied on Suzannah Crabb to design the black dress she wore to the Queen's state funeral, which also featured embroidered Lily of the Valley flowers, the Queen's favourite woodland plants. The Duchess was famously close to the late Queen, calling her "Mama," and this latest tribute showcases their special bond once more.
