As a Sound Designer I create sounds for music productions, films, plays, TV productions and video games. Typical tasks listed in a resume of a Sound Designer are choosing and editing music, mixing music tracks, creating sound effects, advising performers in order to ensure a high-quality final product, designing sound systems, and using recording techniques. In order to be successful, a Sound Designer should provide a mix between artistic and technical skills, and also to demonstrate general business skills such as communication and teamwork.
