RuleChecker functionality can be operated in different modes A) As a Windows Service which runs in the background monitoring new / modified objects. B) As an Exe mode, useful in some advanced use case scenarios. This works just like the Windows Service mode, but executed as a simple EXE with the service name (RuleChecker_PlantName) as parameter. Cannot run in parallel while service is running. C) As an interactive command in Smart3D, where user selects objects and invokes Rules. This mode is explained in detail in a separate document. In all cases, administrator configures the rules and controls their settings.
