For the past 12 years I have been translating and interpreting from English to Spanish and vice versa, I began working with languages and words in a very informal way by helping my own family and friends with their language needs. Later after high school I began working professionally by translating for social workers and their clients, as well as for parents who were meeting with their children's teachers. I have the advantage to also be bicultural; I have lived half of my life in the USA and other half in Mexico. I am able to not only translate words literally from one language to another but also to convey meaning that is useful to the audience. For the past five years I have worked for the University of Utah where I had the opportunity to translate various educational materials aimed to younger children, young adults, and adults; these materials ranged from informational documents about health, to brochures on how to access higher education.I believe that words are powerful and I u
