While still a rookie to the business, my time thus far in the industry has had considerable highlights. First and foremost is the time I've spent thus far at The Oberlin Herald, where I am the sole news reporter. I moved to Kansas immediately after graduation (June 1, 2012) and can't begin to explain how much experience I've gained. I've already chased wildfires, covered a murder, gone out to every harvest and attended numerous government meetings. Every week I am responsible for 12 to 15 stories, their photographs, and one photo story, for a total of four pages. I layout and design my own pages, edit my copy, and am pretty much responsible for half of the end product. Before my time here, I focused primarily on the arts, music and culture writing. I interned at The Westword for Village Voice Media and worked my way up to music editor at The Metropolitan. I even did a brief (and tasty) stint as a restaurant critic. I lived for a year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and am fluent in Spanis
