"Defensible". Businesses need to operate in a way that is defensible in terms of the law. Each company manual I produce is modern and user-friendly, customized to suit your corporate culture while keeping you defensible as you work. I create State law compliant company Human Resources handbooks. Also known as employee manuals, corporate manuals, and Human Resource manuals. HR manuals save the CEO and other executives time: supervisors and employees can get correct, consistent guidance by having a single source of reference available to everyone in the company. I work with large companies, as well as small corporations on the rise currently with less than 10 employees. SAMPLE HR MANUAL CONTENTS: * Links to relevant laws where appropriate. Over time this ensures you're connected to your State's official resources. * Steps for ensuring your staff knows precisely what you expect them to do if they witness harassment or discrimination so the company can respond in a defensible way. * Instructions for how to interview applicants. What's okay, and what's not okay to ask. * Explanation of how a job description is to be used by the employee and by the supervisor over time. Including explaining that things can be added spontaneously, cutting ties with the "It's not in my job description" attitude. * Employee benefits by category of employment. Including whether or not the company will advance paid time off to the employee who has not yet accrued that time off. * Employee signature page confirming they have read and agree to abide by the rules set forth within. This is part of the hiring onboarding process. Let's talk about updating your current employee handbook, or getting one created for your business now. - Diane Baren
