Former Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, 65, is opening up about the post-political era. From dealing with crisis after crisis – life became much calmer for the 65-year-old, when he handed over the prime ministership to Magdalena Andersson, 56.
Since then, it has happened even more. Russia intensified its invasion of Ukraine, Europe's economy is shaking, Sweden began a NATO application and an election has been held in Sweden.
After the election, there was a change of power. Magdalena Andersson lost – and Ulf Kristersson, 58, took over the prime ministership with his right-wing government.

But for Stefan Löfven, life has been much calmer than in national politics. In a major interview with Expressen, the ex-prime minister revealed that he had not yet laid out a plan to move forward with working life. But he enjoyed life with Ulla Löfven, 71.
"We've taken a lot of walks, read and met friends, watched ice hockey and the occasional football game on television. I had really decided to relax and that when Christmas and New Year were over, we would go back to Stockholm and seriously think about what I want to do, Stefan Löfven told me at the beginning of 2022.
