There is no better way to preserve the image of someone important to you than commissioning a painted portrait. I have the necessary skills needed to create a realistic and convincing picture of a family member, acquaintance, or corporate associate--from the technical know how to the artistic vision.I have participated in numerous solo and group shows in central Illinois, and have won awards for my paintings and drawings. I paint in a realistic manner, but I am not a slave to photography. I prefer to paint from life, but will happily paint from a mixture of life and photos or solely from a good photograph.
