“Sharing great stories that inspire people to change” That’s the phrase that describes what I do, and what I’ve been doing for the last twenty-odd years… You can deconstruct that phrase and pull out all manner of critical elements, but the one that stands out most to me is INSPIRE. When you help to inspire people, you’re tapping in to their desire to make a difference; to join together and make things better because they can see and feel and believe that they can influence the future. There’s no better outcome than that. From a practical perspective, I work ‘from soup to nuts’: typically working alongside members of the C-suite, I devise the communications strategy, construct the tactical plan, produce the material and execute the activities - sometimes alone, often with teams. But always with a keen focus on stories and how to use that to help people change; because once they choose to change, organisations can change too.
