Speaking of my work experience so far, I currently don the role of a senior journalist as well as a sub-editor at Music Plus, a Mumbai-based music news website. My current portfolio involves writing music-related stories and editing news and features stories of two other reporters working with me. Along with writing for the web, I also venture out often for video interviews along with my cameraman. I believe that a story has an impact only when communicated through the right medium. In the past, I've worked with Asianet Newsable in Bangalore where my work included copy-editing stories, monitoring news agency feed and reporting stories. I have had the chance to report on a plethora of topics including crime, education, sports, civic and other such beats. I am open to reporting on any beat as I think of it as a task which I would accomplish in all fairness. I've studied print journalism and did extensive investigative reporting at the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media in Bangalore for a year prior to joining the New Indian Express and also reported and donned the role of a chief sub-editor for The Weekly Observer, the college publication.
