Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Feridun Sinirlioğlu, reacted harshly to the Chinese representative who made accusations about Turkey's fight against the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in Syria.

In his speech at the UN Security Council, Sinirlioğlu accused Turkey of "repeatingly hitting the north of Syria with air strikes and artillery and threatening to launch a ground operation", and responded to China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Geng Shuanga, who called for an "immediate end to these attacks".

"No country has the right to teach us lessons about our fight against terrorism. We reject the statements we heard today that deserve to say what we should do and what we should not do while defending our borders and protecting our people," he said. said.

Stating that Turkey's determination to fight terrorism is "unshakable" and that it will continue to take every necessary step to protect its people and ensure border security, Sinirlioğlu said that in the last two years, more than 500 Syrians lost their lives in PKK/YPG attacks in northern Syria.

"PKK/YPG/SDG puts pressure on the people in the northeast and carries out a separatist agenda. Supporting this terrorist/separatist organization on the pretext of fighting DEASH is, first and foremost, against UN resolutions that reaffirm the strong commitment to Syria's territorial integrity." he said.
