• Responsible for effective provisioning, deployment, monitoring, installations / configurations, operation and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructures • Assists project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning of IT Projects • Assists the IT infrastructure and operations support Section Manager in yearly planning of the department’s programs • Assists the management in the day-to-day operations of the department; Prepares monthly and quarterly summaries or reports of the section adherence to SLAs • Responsible for system configurations and documentations for server and storage and backup tools • Responsible for system monitoring (CPU, memory, disk, and system uptime) and backup/restore for all systems, facilitate backup replication (off-site copy) • Works with applications owners/teams to determine the server and storage requirements • Monitors or manages storage environment including disk usage, performance (CPU and memory) and storage availability • Reviews system performance and capacity on a periodic basis and sends reports to Section Manager • Responsible for infrastructure patch management-servers, operating systems, storage, and another SAN equipment • Plays a significant role in long term project planning, including efforts aimed at maintaining operational stability • Responsible for the proper operation of the QC & BGC Picture Archive and Communication Systems (Philips PACS, RIS, CPACS). • Ensure that the servers are operational at all times and the doctors can login to PACS with ease. • Recommends upgrades and technologies to improve operations of PACS and efficiency of users. • Collaborates with suppliers (Siemens, GE, Philips, Codonics, etc.) to interface/provide DICOM link b/w PACS workstations and machines like CT 64 slice, MRI 3 Tesla, Digital Mammography, Digitizers, Laser imager, etc. • Oversees activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems. • Acts as liaison between radiology and other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures and assisting with existing or new medical imaging endeavors. • Manages, maintains and adheres with strict confidentiality of all records or documents and patient’s information. • Evaluates and implements new technologies to improve operational efficiency • Reviews, identifies and recommends enhancements to work processes, outputs and standards • Analyzes information gathered from monitoring systems, operational incidents and other sources to determine the scope and impact of potential security incidents, and process accordingly • Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation in the server and storage structure • Reviews, identifies and recommends processes with regards to Disaster Recovery continuity and ensures it through proper planning, testing and execution
