My time at 1and1 Internet Inc. greatly expanded my knowledge of working with LAMP (linux/apache/mysql/postifix) servers, windows servers in a hands on way that you do not get in school or certification courses, and plesk. Most of my experience with php/mysql is with plesk and 1and1 tools like their eshops and click n builds. My experience with languages such as pearl or python are not as developed and consist of debugging 500 errors or writing simple programs to work as web forms or to backup databases or to test server side includes. I feel that my time working with customers and even more so writing FAQs did a great deal in developing my ability to explain complex issues in comparatively simple terms for people who do not work with LAMP servers, IIS (windows web server), or plesk everyday. The next company I worked for, while it was for only six months gave my an opportunity to work with a wide selection of Cisco switches, routers, and ASA firewalls. I listed Frontpage as one
