I am a registered nurse with an M.A. in journalism. I specialize in researching complex medical topics and writing clear, concise copy. I have an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and toxicology. I have written for national and local publications and I can write for the general public as well as for physicians and nurses. I can work with tight deadlines and with minimal supervision. I have been freelance writing and editing for over 20 years. I have worked with MDs, PhDs, RNs, and allied health personnel and with major publishers such as Lippincott, Thieme, Elsevier, and Gannett. I can do complex assignements for peer-reviewed journals or basic editing and copywriting, and I have done textbook authoring, editing, and reviewing.
